First Grade Concert

It was Dakota and Bailey's first music concert in front of an audience and they made us very proud!  The first and third graders sang a song representing each month.  Our favorite was the Halloween song - SCARY!

 Dakota had a special part in the May Day song - dancing and intertwining a ribbon around a may pole and Bailey played the bells for a Christmas song.

Winter Break in Chicago

We enjoyed a few days in Chicago over winter break.

First stop, Winter Wonderfest!

Seriously, we had never been here before and it was a BLAST! It was huge and had a ton of things for the kids to do!

After all that excitement, we returned to our hotel to relax in the pool.

Then, back to our room to watch a little football.  Low and behold we were in Chicago the day the Packers played the Bears.  Mom DID NOT plan that.

At half-time it was time for supper.  We asked the valet where a "nice" place would be to watch the game and eat with kids.  He suggested Rock Bottom...... no pics of us there - it was a little tense.  Especially when you have a little 6 year old, who didn't understand the atmosphere we were in, pouting when the Packers were loosing and cheering (loud) when they won.

We got out of there fast...

and headed downtown.  Beautiful lights.

The snow made it all the prettier.

The last day, before heading out, we went to the kids favorite, Ed's, for lunch.

Another gift card for Zach and Super Friends for Dakota.  Bailey was eyeing up that Wonder Women :-)
