Beautiful Butterflies

Our chrysalis finally turned into butterflies.  We had five of them and the kids were so excited! Bailey had a hard time letting them go - she wanted to hold and play them.  Remember this is a girl who play with ants and worms.  Butterflies are a little more difficult to handle :-)  We think we still see them flying around our house!

Grandpa as Watch Dog

RyAnne's Favorite Day at school - Grandpa was the Watch D.O.G. today!  He spent the day at school volunteering in a variety of activities. RyAnne had a BIG smile on her face all day! 

The Artist

RyAnne's self portrait was recently selected to be displayed at the Sun Prairie Library.

Spring Concert

Dad and Mom enjoyed going to see RyAnne's Spring Music Concert!

There was singing,

a little dancing,

and musical instruments.

Milwaukee Zoo

For Dakota & Bailey's birthday we went to the Milwaukee Zoo.

I guess Dad didn't see what was wrong with this picture...Dakota!

It was a lot of walking, but the kids enjoyed watching the animals and getting an occational lift from Dad.

This Brown Bear was a hoot sitting in his swing while his brother and sister played in the water!

One thing the Henry Vilas is missing - elephants!

Afterwards, we ate at our favorite restaurant - Fuddruckers!

Classroom Vistor

Mom had the honor of visiting Dakota & Bailey's classroom when they celebrated their birthdays!  The class is currently talking about taking care of the environment and recycling.  Mom read the story This Tree Counts to the class which is about a tree that is home to many different animals and tells about its importance.  Then we did some bird fingerplays and finally we each made a pinecone bird feeder.

GIve Me Five!

Grandpa & Grandma Carter treated us to breakfast for Dakota & Bailey's 5th birthday then we headed to their house to open presents!

St. Patty's Day Parade

We headed to the Madison square on a beautiful St. Patrick's Day afternoon to see the parade!

A fireman picked Dakota out of a crowd of kids and shook his hand and patted his head - Dakota was so proud!

Lots of green and LOTS of candy!

With the weather in the 80's the last few days we have enjoyed being outside!
